J. Mac McClellan, Director of EAA Publications, will be our guest speaker at our regular 'SPECIAL' monthly meeting, May 4, 2012. Mac, formerly editor-in-chief of FLYING Magazine, is one of aviation’s most-respected journalists. Because we expect attendance to exceed the capacity of our clubhouse, this meeting will be held at the beautiful, completely remodeled, Loutit Library, 407 Columbus Ave, Grand Haven, MI. (For directions, click map link.) This meeting will start at 7:00pm instead of our usual 7:30pm meeting time. We will have a meet-and-greet social hour from 7:00pm to 8:00pm and then Mac will give us the inside scoop on what is going on at EAA, as well as present an exciting video.
This meeting will take place after normal library hours, and will be held in the gorgeous, lower-level conference rooms. Use the West entrance (4th Street), not the Columbus Street entrance. There is ample parking in a lot across 4th Street but this lot needs to be entered from Columbus Street which is a one way street running West to East. Go West to 3rd Street and turn East on Columbus. Stay in the left lane and turn left into the library lot entrance before 4th Street. There is also some parking under the library accessible from Fulton Street on the North side.
If youwould like to fly in to the Grand Haven Airport and need ground transportationto the event, please contact Dale Hagen by email at firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight Thursday.
Admission is free, so bring a friend and your questions!
And, don’t miss this!... EAA is going to be giving away a great VIP prize package to AirVenture 2012 to one lucky attendee! A drawing for this package will beheld at the conclusion of the event. You must be present to win.
